Desperate and longing for change, Erin gets a chance to see what alternate lives could look like when her beloved granny gifts her a special pendant passed down through generations. Maybe, I'll love the next one?Įrin is almost 30 years old with only a broken engagement and a boring job in a cafe to her name. It just was not for me, and I can see that some GR reviewers loved this. I'm a 90s baby through and through, but I always go crazy for the music of the 80s. I loved the 80s song recommendations, though. Which was sad because it is the book's main premise. I don't know if it's a cultural divide or I just find the characters, especially the main one, quite boring.Įven the execution of the "if only"s were served a little weak. Sadly, I did not feel the promised humor and lightness. The story of a 30 year old newly single woman with an opportunity to answer her life's "what if"s and "if only"s sounded good. Unfortunately, I can some up my reading experience in this four words: I didn't like it. I had high hopes with this book because of the cutesy cover and the intriguing blurb. If Only is my first read from Melanie Murphy, who is a Youtuber/Online Personality I am not familiar with. This review is voluntary and opinions are fully my own.
